Ophthalmology Director
Niral is the Clinical Director for Ophthalmology. for Mid & South Essex NHS Foundation Trust covering Southend, Basildon & Orsett, and Broomfield Hospitals. Niral brings to BLF a wealth of experience in his field and heads BLF’s Ophthalmology Department. Not content with helping to restore the sight of patients on a daily basis in the UK the consultant also spends part of his annual leave working on his voluntary projects. He is passionate about passing on his skills to others and very excited about the new BLF Teaching Eye Hospital being constructed in Yonibana, Sierra Leone. He adds: "Sight is the one sense people value more than any other when it fails, so through my work I have the opportunity to make a great improvement to people's quality of life which is tremendously satisfying."
