Mrs Kiran H Parmar

Head of laboratory services
Mrs Kiran H Parmar is a retired senior research laboratory manager. She is recognised for her work in the field of Thrombosis and many diseases associated with thrombosis and bleeding for the past 42 years. She is a state registered Biomedical Scientist with the Health Professions Council (HPC) and is a fellow of Institute of Biomedical Science. She obtained her MSc at University of Westminster.

She is a member of many national and international institutions such as British Society of Haematology and Thrombosis (BSHT), member of British Society of Haematology (BSH), member of International Society for Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH).

She has been involved in training, supervising and teaching many BSc, MSc, PhD, MD students some of whom are now Professors in their fields. She helps many volunteer organisations and is passionate about helping the Better Lives foundation since she heard about the organisation. She has helped a PhD student set up his state of the art laboratory in Kenama in Sierra Leone. She wishes to help Better Lives Foundation to also achieve a functioning laboratory in the expansion project for the Yonibana Sai Hospital in Sierra Leone.
